The story
Summer Catchers is about a young man on the journey searching for the summer. The first scene of the game takes place when the boy wakes up, between the freezing weather and full of snow. He has no memory in mind and only knows that he have to find his own summer.
And then, the young man met a wolf who was a carpenter. He suggested that the summer he was looking for was an ocean, very far south. He just helps him by giving him a wooden car. And the boy’s search for summer begins, even he though it feels hazy.
Gameplay
Your summer search itinerary takes place in a car. You will use it to move south, trying to keep the character safe until he gets to where he wants to go.
Overall, Summer Catchers is quite similar to an off-road racing game. However, it only includes you and the dangers, with no competition to compete with. Deep ravines, sharp ice sheets, high slopes or soaring steps. You will have to face and overcome them.
To do that, the carpenter has provided you with three tools, including Bumper, Jumper and Booster. You will use these tools to help keep the vehicle moving towards the end of each road.
The game system offers specific instructions and a real practice period. You will learn the controls and know when to use which tools quickly.
Tools
There are 5 types of tools in Summer Catchers. Three types I mentioned earlier, and two will unlock as you pass some special stages. This factor is quite interesting when it signals you that there are many more challenges ahead.
But, that’s not all I want to say. The engine in Summer Catchers is not an available function of the vehicle. It’s like an item. You will have to buy it to use it.
